Infant Blanket Drive in Honor of Jacob

 

Our little family, with the Hospital Labs help, are putting together a blanket drive for those affected by infant loss at Research Medical Center. Here are the flyers that I designed and were hung up in the lab. We are so grateful for all the help all our family and friends gave to us. We would like to try now, to do something to give back. If you are able to help, that would mean the world to us. We know that most of our family and friends could mail blankets or donations but, it probably wouldn't be here by friday (the official end of lab week) which is okay, we still need the help. Let me know if you need an address, we would be happy to provide any information you need to help us in this cause that is so close to our hearts.

Happy Birthday Reed!

We celebrated Reed's birthday this year with dinner and cake/icecream. We invited our friends the Kirk's to come for dinner. They live in our neighborhood and we've become good friends. We are sad they are moving in a few months. I made Reed's favorite, homemade German Chocolate Cake.

The only thing Reed asked for was an OR Scrub cap, in camo. I found a lady that makes them in all kinds of camo print. I decided on the "real tree" camo print and Reed loved it! We also bought him the new Hobbit movie (it just barely came out on video that day) because he and Avery Kirk had planned on going to the movie in theatre (Jana and I didn't want to go to this movie) but, the men's schedules were so busy that they never got to the theatre. (of course!) So, we are going to watch it together, hopefully soon (it's already been a week and we haven't watched it yet, Reed's had a big test coming up). LOL Hopefully we'll watch it soon!

Happy Birthday Reed! I know it was simple birthday, yet fun! The best part of your birthday party was the scavenger hunt that the kids did for your birthday present. You were such a good sport even though you had the climb up and down the stairs a few times.
