Happy Halloween 2012!
The kids were excited about Halloween. We didn't know what the neighborhood would be like because it is an established neighborhood but, it turned out really fun!
We went around the short block so that Dad could experience trick-or-treating with the family and then he went home to hand out candy. The neighbors were really generous around us. Our next door neighbors even had full-size candy bars for when the kids came by.
It took less than a half an hour to do the little block so we went around the other street to have some fun and get the full trick-or-treat experience. It's quite a large block. So, by the time we finished the block, the kids were loaded down with candy.
It was pretty warm and most of the neighbors were outside handing out candy and had fires to warm up to.
By the time we got home, the kids had a ton of candy. They dumped into my largest bowls. Reed and I filled my huge apothecary air-tight jar and put it in the storage room (you never know when you are going to want chocolate during a disaster or whenever! lol). Reed even was joking with me that we should use it for stocking stuffers....too funny, always thinking ahead!
We had a great Halloween even though we were too busy to even carve pumpkins this year! Oh well, we still had a good Halloween! Here's a picture of our neighbors pumpkin since we never got ours carved.
Happy Halloween 2012
