"Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more. He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit."
- Richard G. Scott
MY BROTHERS
"When suffering, we may in fact be nearer to God, than we have been in our entire lives. That knowledge can turn every such situation into a would-be temple. Regarding our earthly journey, the Lord has promised: "I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left. My spirit shall be in your hearts and mine angels round about you to bear you up. That is an everlasting declaration of God's love and care for us and perhaps especially in times of trouble."
I love Easter!! I love the reason for the season and having kids just makes it better. The easter bunny came to our house and the kids got lots of candy, Easter clothes for church, and some gardening tools. We plan on planting a good size garden and we want the kids to learn how to garden. They got shovels, hoe's, spade's and seeds to plant with. Isaac planted his carrot seeds...without me knowing...and we'll see if they make it. With all the rain we've had...just maybe. The kids looked so cute in their new easter clothes. I love suits on little men. So handsome! Abbie looked really pretty in her dress too. I had to dye her cardigan to match the boy's tie's. It's sometimes hard to find boys and girls matching clothes. Well, every year I seem to figure something out. You kids looked sharp! Love you all! I am also grateful for this season to be able to remember the true reason for Easter.
It's really easy...you buy the "Rit" dye at walmart in the laundry soap isle. It's usually $1.76 a box. I bought the royal blue box. It is usually on the very top shelf. They have very limited colors but, I just diluted it to get the cornflower blue color. I used 1 tsp. of dye crystals to a huge bread bowl of water(metal bowl that held probably 1-2 gallons). I put the cardigan in the dye water for just a little while...keep lifting it up to see what color it was and then when it was the right shade...I pulled it out and through it directly into the washing machine by itself with a little laundry soap. I didn't want anything else getting the dye on it. Then put it directly into the dryer to set the color permanently. It's as simple as that.
Our family consists of us (Reed and I) and three adorable children. Our oldes Isaac is a ball of fun and energy. He started Kindergarten and absolutely loves learning. Abbie is second and is our little darling girl. She is smart and is always keeping us on our toes. Kaden is our baby even though he is no longer a baby. Our baby is two and is growing up before our eyes. We love doing everything fun and like to try a new adventures. The kids love the outdoors and everything that goes with it. We hope you find this blog entertaining and hope that our family and friends are able to keep up on our lives even though time may not permit that we get together as often as we would like. So, Enjoy!!
Cute outfits! I wanna know how you died her sweater!?! I didn't know that was possible.
